Gosaikunda is considered the divine place of many holy lakes where one can wash off their sins from the purity of holy water. Thousands of people visit this beautiful place for their religious and adventurous purpose. The trek to Gosaikunda offers you a short and best trek to enjoy the beauty of nature along with its religious importance. The trail of the trek passes through a mesmerizing and panoramic view of Himalayan ranges like Mt Langtang range, Himal Chuli, Mt. Manaslu, and Annapurna Range. Furthermore, you can enjoy the beauty of nature with varied landscapes and green forests with fresh air. The trek takes you from subtropical land to the alpine environment. Along with nature, you can experience the culture and tradition of various ethnic groups such as Tamang, Chhetri, Brahmins, and Newars living in Gosaikunda. Gosaikunda circuit trek will cross through rhododendron forests, paddy fields, and terraces. The major attraction of the trek is the mesmerizing, holy, and sparkling Gosaikunda Lake surrounded by other holy lakes such as Surya Kunda, Naag Kunda, and Bhairav Kunda. For a religious purpose, the Hindu and Buddhist devotees visit this lake during the festival of Janai Purnima (The full Moon of August). Since the place is far away from the city at a height of 4380m you can only have decent food options and lodges along the trail. This trek is a moderate one with uphill climbs and narrow trails mostly within a green forest.
